Day :1 Arrival Delhi

Arrive at the New Delhi International airport. Our representative will assist you in getting transferred to your pre booked hotel. Check in, and relax for the day. Stay overnight at the hotel.



Day 2: Delhi

After breakfast, get ready for the city tour of New Delhi as well as Old Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar raised by Qutub- u- din in 1199 either as a victory tower or as a minaret to the adjacent mosque; Lotus Temple completed in 1986, the Bahai temple set amidst pools and gardens, and adherents of any faith are free to visit the temple and pray or meditate silently according to their own religion; India Gate built as a memorial to commemorate the 70,000 India soldiers killed in World War I, India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and completed in 1931; the mughals brought with them a love for gardens, fountains and water, the first mature example of Mughal architecture in India, Humayun's Tomb was built by the emperor's grieving widow, Haji Begum, in 1565 AD; Jama Masjid one of the Architectural gift given by Shah Jahan, Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosques not only in Delhi but in India. Completed in 1658 this Mosque has three gateways, four angle towers and two 40 m high minarets. And in the evening enjoy the sound and light show at Red Fort was made in 1639, when Shah Jahan decided to shift his capital from Agra to Delhi. Built in Red Sand stone this imposing fort is 3 kms in perimeter with the height of the wall varying from 18 to 30 meters at places. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.



Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur (265 kms/5 hrs)

After breakfast at, get driven to Jaipur, the Pink City, founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the ruler of Amber. Reach Jaipur and check in the pre-booked hotel. In the evening enjoy shopping in the Ramganj Bazar for shoes or jutis as they are called, Kishanpol Bazar for tie and dye textiles, Maniharon Ka Rasta (Tripolia Bazar) for lac bangles and other items, Achrol House, Subhash Chowk for carpets, Khajano Ka Rasta for marble carving, and Sanganer village for block printing, hand-made paper and blue pottery. Return and stay overnight at the hotel.



Day 4: Jaipur

After breakfast, get ready to explore the beautiful architecture of Amer Fort which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727, Jal Mahal on the way to Amer, this small palace is set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake and Hawa Mahal built in 1799, by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, is the most recognizable monument of Jaipur. The 5 storied stunning semi-octagonal monument having 152 windows with over hanging latticed balconies is a fine piece of Rajput architecture. Followed by City Palace a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, it houses a Seven storeyed Chandra Mahal in the centre, which affords a fine view of the gardens and the city, Jantar Mantar built in 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the huge masonary instruments were used to study the movement of constellations and stars in the sky and Birla Temple. In the evening enjoy the cultural performances and dinner at Chokhi Dhani. Return and stay overnight at the hotel.



Day 5:Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (245 kms/5 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and get driven to Agra. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri, also known as the "Ghost City". Its gate, Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world is the main attraction of the town. Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, was the old capital of the Moghuls, which was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal & other Palaces which are still preserved in its original glory. Reach Agra and check in your pre-booked hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.



Day 6: Agra – (By Road) Delhi – Kathmandu (By Air)

Early morning visit the Taj Mahal to witness the magnificent beauty of the Taj during the sunrise. Return hotel to have breakfast and check out. Get transferred to the airport to board the flight to Kathmandu. Meet our representative at Kathmandu airport upon arrival. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and the Kathmandu Valley is the political and cultural heart of the Kingdom. Founded in the 8th century AD by King Gunakamadeva at the join of the Bagmati and Bishnumati rivers the founding point is the Kashta (wood) Mandap (temple), built where two old trade routes crossed, and now the oldest building in the city. The europhile first minister of Kathmandu in the 19th century, Jung Bahadur Rana, built many classical looking buildings and palaces in the city, in contrast to those of Newari style that existed before. The urban sprawl that makes up modern Kathmandu is in fact two cities, Patan and Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel.



Day 7: Kathmandu

This morning you will enjoy a guided tour covering Kathmandu's Durbar Square, which is one of three durbar (royal palace) squares in the Kathmandu Valley. It is the site of the Hanuman Dhoka Palace Complex, which was the royal Nepalese residence until the 19th century and where important ceremonies, such as the coronation of the Nepalese monarch, still take place today. You will then visit one of the most curious attractions in Nepal, the Kumari Chowk. This gilded cage contains the Raj Kumari, a young girl chosen through an ancient and mystical selection process to become the human incarnation of the Hindu mother goddess, Durga. She is worshipped during religious festivals and makes public appearances at other times for a fee paid to her guards. You will next continue to visit Swayambhunath the golden spire of the 5th-century Swayambhu stupa is adorned with a colorful fluttering of prayer flags; it crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city of Kathmandu. Swayambhunath is one of the most recognizable symbols in Nepal and the painted eyes of Buddha watch all who ascend the worn stone steps.
This afternoon your guided tour will take you for a visit of the Hindu culture in Nepal, Pashupatinath. This is the place where holy saddhus pray and cremations on the Bagmati River are carried out. While you are not allowed into the temple if you are not a Hindu, the grounds surrounding the temple usually have a fascinating crowd of the faithful. We then continue to the holiest shrine for the Buddhist culture in Nepal, Bouddhanath, with its large stupa, this is the place where all devout Buddhists come for a pilgrimage. It is not unusual to see very old devotees circumnavigate the shrine hundreds of times falling to their knees and rising again for a few steps only to go back down again to their knees. Stay overnight at hotel.



Day 8: Kathmandu - Chitwan (By road approx. 5 hrs)

After breakfast at Kathmandu hotel, get driven to Chitwan National Park. An enjoyable and scenic five hours drive by car or private coach on the Prithvi highway connecting Chitwan with Kathmandu follows the Trishuli River which takes us through the Tharu Villages of Chitwan. The ethnic tribe of the Tharu's is the local inhabitants of Chitwan and is agriculturists by profession. Reach Chitwan, Check in and rest of the day will be free for leisure activities around. Stay overnight at the hotel.



Day 9: Chitwan

Early morning guests will be mounted on elephant back and taken for a jungle safari for 2-3 hours penetrating through dense grasslands to view wildlife in their natural habitat. This grass commonly known as elephant grass is dense and grows to a height of 18‐20 ft. It is the favorite habitat for rhinoceros and other mammals.
After breakfast, you are taken to our elephant stables where a senior naturalist briefs about the interesting and unbelievable habits of elephant. Here one may witness the rare scene of the elephants at bath. Return for lunch at the resort.
In the afternoon you may choose to relax around the resort or take a drive through the jungles in four wheel drive jeep followed by a canoe ride down the Rapti River. The river ride provides opportunity of viewing the gharial crocodiles as well as the mugger crocodiles, fresh water dolphins, otters and varieties of water birds. OR,
You may also feel like going for a nature walk or birding with one of our naturalists to know more about the flora of the Chitwan National Park. Return back to the hotel and stay overnight.



Day 10: Chitwan - Pokhara (180 kms/4 hrs)

Drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is 180 Km & is a 04 hours drive from Chitwan. From Pokhara town (2,352 feet) the 25,000+ peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges rise a scant 20 miles away with no intervening ridges to spoil the view. Pokhara offers the best mountain scenery in Nepal without undertaking a trek. In good weather there are splendid views right from the hotel.
This afternoon you will visit Bindebasini Temple. This is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara was a part of Kaski Kingdom, the main deity of the temple, Goddess Durga, was brought from India . Apart from the peace and tranquility that can be felt in this region, the premises of the temple offers a good view of the Himalaya on a clear day. The temple is in the area of the bazaar, hence,a journey of the old bazaar can be combined with a visit to the temple. Sightseeing to Devi's fall, also known as Patale Chango is an awesome waterfall lying 2 km southwest of Pokhara. During summer and rainy season, the waterfall takes its real form, with gushing water splashing and making its way through the rocks. Just opposite of Devi's fall, on the other side of the road, there is Gupteshwor Cave. This cave is popular for the different natural forms made from limestone deposits. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the cave. Evening Go the lakeside and enjoy an hour of boating at the fantastic Phewa Lake of with Fishtail Mountain on the background. Walk around the tourist area of Lakeside. Stay overnight at the hotel.



Day 11: Pokhra - Kathmandu (by car approx. 4 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel get driven back to Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal. Reach and check in at the hotel. This whole day is for local sightseeing and shopping around.



Day 12: Kathmandu - Fly back home…

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and get driven to Kathmandu airport for boarding flight to your onward destination. Services from Travelofi end here.
